Darjeeling Old Fashioned

WELCOME TO YOUR
VIRTUAL MIXOLOGIST EXPERIENCE
We’re so excited to host you! Please prepare for your Netscout “Engage” Cocktail Experience by following the steps below. If you have any questions along the way, just ask!

STEP 1. PREPARE YOUR TOOLS
- Mixing Beaker: Or you can use a pint glass or glass measuring cup
- Cocktail Shaker: Or you can use a wide mouth jar or water bottle with sealed lid
- Measurement Tools: A jigger, shot glass, or tablespoon (2 tbsps = 1 oz)
- Bar Spoon: Or Chopstick
- Knife & Cutting Board: To cut citrus
- Muddler: Or wooden spoon
- 2 Glasses: We recommend 2 Rocks Glasses, but feel free to use your favorite glassware
- Julep Strainer (optional): Or you can use a fine-mesh strainer or colander
- Citrus Juicer (optional)

STEP 2. PREPARE YOUR INGREDIENTS
You’ll be making 2 cocktails during the experience. Below are the ingredients for both cocktails!
FOR THE Darjeeling Old Fashioned
- 2 oz / 4 tbps Whiskey
- 0.5 oz / 1 tbsp Darjeeling Syrup*
- 3 Dashes Orange Bitters
- 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- Orange Peel
- 2 Cups Ice
FOR THE WHISKEY SOUR
- 2 oz / 4 tbps Whiskey
- 1 oz / 2 tbsp Darjeeling Syrup*
- 1 oz / 2 tbsp Fresh Citrus Juice
- 1 Egg White – Highly Recommended!
- 2 Cups Ice
*Recipe for Darjeeling Syrup Below. Or you can use plain simple syrup.
Darjeeling Tea-Infused Syrup
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Darjeeling Teabag
INSTRUCTIONS
Boil 1 cup water. Add 1 bag darjeeling tea. Allow to steep for five minutes. Stir, and remove tea bag. Add in 1 cup of white sugar and stir thoroughly to dissolve.

STEP 3. PREPARE YOUR PLATFORM
PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT VIDEO PLATFORM, SUCH AS ZOOM, DOWNLOADED FOR YOUR EVENT.
For a more interactive event, we encourage all guests to turn their video on during the experience.

Prepare your space – Make sure you have a strong internet connection with little background noise if possible
Mute yourself when not speaking – This will eliminate background noise (like cocktail shaking!) that makes it difficult for others to hear the speaker.
Be sure to come prepared – Come with ingredients and supplies ready! Set yourself up in the kitchen where you have ample counter space and access to a sink.
Please come 10 minutes early – This way we can get to know each other and start right on time!
