What We’ve Learned About Engaging Clients Virtually

August 28, 2020

Since March, our team at Avital has served over 6,500 virtual guests. We’ve learned a ton about virtual events and how to make them interactive, memorable, and fun. We’ve hosted team building events, birthday parties and anniversaries, corporate parties, and client appreciation events. Here are our key findings about engaging clients virtually.

MAKE IT EASY FOR GUESTS

They are more likely to attend when it’s easy for them. Use a video platform they are familiar with to ensure less technical issues. If you have some new users, send them a user guide beforehand.

CLIENTS ACTUALLY APPRECIATE IT

Clients appreciate the chance to connect online just as much as they do in person! Engaging clients virtually is just as valuable when it comes to maintaining relationships. Planning a virtual event shows thoughtfulness and that you aren’t going to stop engaging just because you can’t meet in person.

PREP IS IMPORTANT

Clients want to be set up for success- sending them the items they need for your event beforehand means all they have to do is turn on their laptop. No rushing around for ingredients, tools, or other things they might need.

MAKE IT A LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Give them the opportunity to learn something new. Engaging clients virtually opens up all sorts of possibilities for events, including learning from experts from all over. Your clients are curious and appreciate the access to top professionals.

GET CREATIVE

Unique virtual experiences win—treat your clients to something special that you wouldn’t be able to do in person. These experiences will stick in their mind longer and break up the monotony of the usual dinner and drinks.

USE YOUR RESOURCES

While the whole virtual experience should be easy for your guests, it should also be easy for you! Engaging clients virtually is often even more successful when you let a professional plan and lead your event.
