Marketing Manager

Passion for artisan cuisine? Do you want to be inspired daily by changing the way people experience food? Are you quirky?

We are hiring a part time Marketing Manager for 10-15 hours per week. You will be managing the various arms of our existing marketing department (e.g. a team of bloggers creating content, third party agents selling our culinary experiences) and working with a team of passionate quirky foodies in SF, LA and NYC. You are the engine that drives the train, the puppet master behind the curtain that makes magic, the keeper of the keys while being the creative vision and voice behind the work!

You’re a passionate quirky foodie! You likely wake up in the morning, and read the Eater food blog as you eat a Pain au chocolat. You’ve watched every Netflix food show from Ugly Delicious to Chef’s Table. It’s the stories of the people behind-the-food that tickles your tastebuds.

You love to make sure that other people stay on track and don’t veer off course — we use asana as our project management tool and you nerd out when they release a new feature. You’re organized and detail oriented and it drives you crazy when someone doesn’t use an Oxford comma. You love visual design and know when Pantone releases their color of the year. You must be metrics driven – understanding how to engage our customers in a fun and creative way to drive sales. You communicate compassionately with those around you, but add a little quirky when communicating our brand to future customers. And lastly, mundane tasks don’t bore you because there’s always room for improvement and a new way to make your work more efficient.

This is a start-up atmosphere, so you must be flexible and able to stay on task but change with the routine as needed. This is a chance to get in on the ground-floor of an innovative and successful company that is growing quickly… which is why we need you!

Culinary Tour Guide

Avital Tours is looking for food lovers to become part of our incredible team of culinary guides – quirky individuals who love talking about food almost as much as they enjoy eating it, and who are great at storytelling!

With us you’d be the host of one of the best culinary experiences in New York City. Yes, you’d guide our guests through a flavorful journey made of scrumptious dishes and delightful stories! Imagine hosting your ideal dinner party or cocktail party. (You must love meeting new people, sharing stories, hosting experiences, taking charge, and eating out & calling it “research!)

Intrigued? Wondering if you fit our bill? Let’s see:

  1. You have a passion for food (i.e. chef’s tables is one of your favorite Netflix series)
  2. You have a saving account exclusively for eating out
  3. You think the best way to explore a new culture or a new city is through food
  4. You love telling stories, and your friends can’t get enough of them
  5. You’ve been named by your friends “host of the year” or “hostess with the mostest”

This is a part time, flexible employee position perfect for someone with other work/pursuits.  Set your availability and work when you want!

Pay is hourly (4 hours/ tour shift) plus guest tips, for a total of $25-40 per hour. You should be comfortable with mobile technology and ideally have a smartphone. You should also be able to stand for long periods of time and walk distances and hills easily. Our ideal teammate is able to work independently and solve problems on their own as well as having a positive, team attitude. Consistent timeliness and the ability to manage a flexible schedule are key

We also love discovering new food venues as a team, so get ready for scrumptious team-building outings!

Our culinary experiences take place 7 days a week, with start times between 11am and 6pm.
